it's a bulalakaw ride
I totally agree to every Best Dad post there is today because these Fathers that we have are really the best ones. What I’m afraid of is when time comes that we (our generation) are the Fathers to our own children, can we be like our Dads today?
Can we even change a flat tire? Can we fix the flickering light bulb? Can we fix the leak on the roof? Or when time comes that we need to do these Father roles, will we be calling our Dads in the middle of the night to ask for help? That is because what we did during our time was to party, flirt, play and eveything that would satisfy our flesh because we have lived our life with the motto”do whatever you love”.
Let us be wise to every path we choose. Learn from Lot and Abraham and get away from the cliché: “do stupid things while we are young so we have something to laugh about when we are old” because that is really stupid.
We are blessed to have Fathers like our Dads. It’s now time to shape ourselves up to become like them as a preparation to the bigger responsibilty. Let us become a blessing to our future kids, to our future wife, to our future family.
